Bestselling author Cecelia Ahern follows The Gift and P.S. I Love You with the mesmerizing story of a teenaged girl coming face-to-face with grief, growth, and magic in the Irish countryside, after a mysterious book begins to reveal her own memories from one day in the future. Perfect for long-time fans of Ahern, as well as for younger readers coming to her for the first time, The Book of Tomorrow's strong voice and sophisticated storytelling mark an instant new classic from this already beloved author.

Quincie Morris has never felt more alone. Her parents are dead, and her hybrid-werewolf first love is threatening to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. Then, as she and her uncle are about to unveil their hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef. Can Quincie transform their new hire into a culinary Dark Lord before opening night? Can he wow the crowd in his fake fangs, cheap cape, and red contact lenses — or is there more to this earnest face than meets the eye? As human and preternatural forces clash, a deadly love triangle forms, and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who’s playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything? TANTALIZE marks Cynthia Leitich Smith’s delicious debut as a preeminent author of dark fantasy.
It's amazing how the same model can be used for two completely different genres and how the colors used can make or break the cover.
For Tantalize, a vampire-werewolf YA Paranormal, the black background with custom script-font and darker shadows applied to the model it conveys the theme.
The Book of Tomorrow is a YA Contemporary with a touch of Irish magic. Clearly the pale skinned red-headed model works wonderfully to convey the Irish part of the book. Removed are the dark, mysterious colors, lightened up with a more vivid airiness to it. Tantalize leaves the entire cover blank with just the model but The Book of Tomorrow adds a book page for the title and author creds, but I feel that it's too cluttered.
My Pick: Tantalize.
