So I wanted to change the scope of my Book Stole My Look posts to include more cover-related posts than just ones that look alike - without having to create an entirely new meme. So for today, I am doing a post that is all about one author's book covers.

With the help of the human boy she believes was the last person to see her brother alive, Daphne glimpses into his dreams, discovering clues to Obie's whereabouts. As she delves deeper into her demonic powers, she must navigate the jealousies and alliances of the violent archangels who stand in her way. But she also discovers, unexpectedly, what it means to love and be human in a world where human is the hardest thing to be.

For Hannah, the summer is a complicated one. Her best friend Lillian died six months ago, and Hannah just wants her life to go back to normal. But how can things be normal when Lillian's ghost is haunting her bedroom, pushing her to investigate the mysterious string of murders? Hannah's just trying to understand why her friend self-destructed, and where she fits now that Lillian isn't there to save her a place among the social elite. And she must stop thinking about Finny Boone, the big, enigmatic delinquent whose main hobbies seem to include petty larceny and surprising acts of kindness.

With the entire city in panic, Hannah soon finds herself drawn into a world of ghost girls and horrifying secrets. She realizes that only by confronting the Valentine Killer will she be able to move on with her life - and it's up to her to put together the pieces before he strikes again.

My Thoughts: I bought The Replacement based on the cover alone - and then I read the back and realized that I would most likely end up falling in love with the story. Of course it's still on my TBR list, as is The Space Between, but I've never heard anything but awesome things about Yovanoff's books. I recently saw the cover for Paper Valentine and fell immediately in cover lust with it. How absolutely gorgeous and detailed is that?! I don't know why, but it to me has a Tim Burton-esque vibe to it. They all have such a creepy, mysterious vibe to them that I would love to just blow up the images and hang them on my wall!! I love, love, love how they all use a very limited array of colors which I think adds an air of eeriness - keeping it limited to blacks, whites, and grays and then using red as the main "color" I find is ingenious!
