What Now? {2}

Hey! Welcome to my new Tuesday Post - What Now? This new once-a-week post is based off of Epic Reads - Like, Try, Why.

If You Liked ... Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely #1) by Melissa Marr
Try ... The Iron King (The Iron Fey #1) by Julie Kagawa
Why ... Besides the fact that both are centered around faeries (which in my opinion everyone should love fairies as much as I do!) they are both such incredible series! Marr brings a darker side of the fey to life, while Kagawa brings equal parts light and dark with plenty of comic relief in the form of Grimalkin. While Kagawa tends to stay closer to known myths and legends, Marr has a unique and wholly her own take and twist on the fey.

If You Liked ... The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
Try ... Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
Why ... While I definitely enjoy Twilight and reread the series usually once a year, I never thought I would fall in love with another vampire series...until I stepped into Rose and Lissa's world...and met Dimitri. And Adrian. Oh yeah! This series doesn't hold back at all when it comes to kick ass vampires (that do NOT sparkle) and forbidden love that makes your heart beat faster, and want to throw the book at the wall at the same time!

If You Liked ... Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1) by Veronica Rossi
Try ... Breathe (Breathe #1) by Sarah Crossan
Why ... Dystopian at it's best! I was easily transported to the world of Reverie alongside of Aria and wholeheartedly love Perry. And Roar. Sigh. Crossan creates a wonderful world reminiscent of Rossi's story in Breathe, and is a great way to pass the time while waiting for Through the Ever Night to release.

Happy Reading!
