I ended up going into a part of the city this weekend where my favorite used book store, Rust Belt Books, is located. I picked up 2 books, plus received 1 ARC to share with you!

I also picked up this makeup kit from Ulta that was put out by Nyx cosmetics in anticipation of the release of The Mortal Instruments movie. You can check it out in more detail HERE. I haven't played around with it too much yet, but I am planning on trying out the two looks that they give you instructions for. I am considering doing some type of post where I do makeup looks inspired by book covers, or movies. I'm still playing around with the idea and how I would do it (photos versus videos etc) but if you think that would be cool, let me know in the comments.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP

I spent a good part of this week sick with something eerily close to the flu, and got behind in my reading. This weekend was a busy one, too so I really have to buckle down, since between the book club book, the read along book, and then my review book... I've got a lot to read! We had nice weather this weekend, so I was able to spend some time with friends and boyfriend and I also took his parents out for their anniversary, which was really nice! We tried a new restaurant that we found, and luckily for us they had vegan options so we were happy about that. This upcoming week we have a 4th of July BBQ with boyfriend's side of the family (his sister, who happens to be my BFF will be up visiting from Long Island with her hubby and my beautiful niece/goddaughter who just turned 1 in February!) and then Saturday is a Girl's Day at a local spa, which I CANNOT WAIT FOR! What are you up to this week, and what are your plans for the 4th? Any traditions in your family that you do every year? We go up to the University at Buffalo (aka UB for the locals!) to watch fireworks - best display in town!

MONDAY - I gave 3-Stars to Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood in my review of this historical-paranormal novel about witches.

TUESDAY - I focused on mermaid themed covers on I Love Your Cover.

WEDNESDAY - Save the Date {18} featured Still Star-Crossed by Melinda Taub

THURSDAY. FRIDAY. and SATURDAY I didn't get anything up because I was feeling so yucky.

Weekly WrapUp {5}

I have been elbow-deep in a YA Reading Slump. The Great YA Reading Slump of 2012, or just of the summer, I guess. Anyway, right now I'm reading two books - both adult fiction, and I'm not sure why. Because it certainly is not due to lack of YA books. No way! I have a ginormous stack from the library PLUS the hundreds I own! So what the heck gives?! Not sure, let's just all hope this comes to a quick and painless end... SOON.

Weekly WrapUp {4}

So I know that I wasn't able to post Weekly WrapUp last week. We are still computer-less. It's been over a month now, and it's SO frustrating!!!! I know I seem to need to vent about it every single week, but really! I am going through withdrawals, LOL. We are getting closer to it being fixed, but not quite there just yet! Hi! Welcome to The Weekly WrapUp, where I bring the current blogging week to an end with a few words about what has happened over the course of the last week, any book activity, as well as any bookish news that I feel MUST be shared!

Words of the Week

It's been another jam-packed week of cover reveals, which is super freaking awesome! I'm stoked for all three that I posted, and can't wait to see what beauties await us next week!

Another purchase-less week for me in the book department. I was able to find some good ones on the shelves of my local library though! Book #4.5 of the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa, Iron's Prophecy, has it's cover reveal and synopsis which you can read HERE. I haven't read the entire series yet so I didn't want to read the synopsis and ruin it for myself or others.

I've also posted my first giveaway (the link is below in the On the Blog section!) for a chance to win a copy of Crave by Melissa Darnell. Crave is the first book of The Clann Series, and if you love vampires then you best go enter...now!!

 I think that's about it - so here's to another upcoming week full of bookish wonderment!

The WrapUp will be my way of bringing the current week to an end with a few words about what happened over the course of the last week, any book activity (buying, winning, library), as well as any bookish news that I feel MUST be shared! The Weekly WrapUp will be posted on Fridays.

Words of the Week: Well, technically this isn't my first "full" week with the new blog but I still wanted to get my new posts up to keep on track with the new schedule I've created for myself! I just want to thank everyone who follows me, and spends time here. I appreciate it so much and try to follow everyone back as well as comment and keep up-to-date with your posts! I think there will be a transition period as I get used to The Little Pink Book Boutique, but I feel so at home already here! I think this is going to be a good thing.
